Uptown Cycles, a Charlotte, NC, independent retailer of high performance cycling equipment, has deployed an RFID-enabled inventory management system. Owner, Chris Sheehan, calls it efficient, easy to implement and far less time consuming than their previous manual process. He credits this new system with allowing his employees to focus on customer service and client coaching. Customers with just a few items or who hate waiting in line can use the system for self check out and be on their way.
