On Target to Recycle

April 2010 is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.  First celebrated on April 22, 1970, with approximately 20 million Americans participating, it is credited with being the beginning of the modern environmental movement.

Retail giant, Target, is marking this anniversary by installing permanent recycling stations in its 1740 domestic stores.  In addition to these recycling stations, Target will also be giving away 1.5 million reusable shopping bags made from recycled bottles on April 18th.
